About Taste of Durango

Durango’s Premier Food and Drink Festival

The premier food festival and the best summer kick-off party in Durango, CO! Featuring local craft breweries, artisan cocktails, and countless samples of the world-class cuisine that Durango’s restaurants offer. Always complimented by a fantastic selection of music, dancing, fun, and friends.

Anyone from Durango knows that we live in a town that celebrates food! Our Chefs and restaurant owners work tirelessly to provide us with an exceptional variety and caliber of dining options.

The Taste of Durango is produced, managed, and coordinated by the very people bringing you this experience on a daily basis: Durango’s Chapter of the Colorado Restaurant Association.

The event benefits local non-profit organizations each year garnering $12,000. To apply to be come a beneficiary click here.

In 2022, Durango’s CRA will also be working with the Durango Business Improvement District and the Durango Police Department to make the event a success and to support additional non-profits.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

How much is it to get in at the gate?

 For entry, you must purchase a $10 RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) Wristband and then top up your wristband online with additional funds to purchase food and drinks.

How much money should I load up on my wristband?

Beers are $6, cocktails are $7 and most tastes of food are $5. You can use these prices to estimate the total amount to load up to your liking.

Where are the gates?

You can get into the festival at the south side of 7th & Main, on the north side of 11th & Main, on the West side of Main at 8th & Main and on the East side of 9th & Main

How may I get a map to see where booths are to visit my favorite restaurants?

Maps are available the day of the event via posters at each gate as well as smaller hand-held versions for people to walk around with.

Day Of - Before the Event

Streets close to all normal traffic. Barriers and Barricades go up from on Main between College and 11th.

4:30am

Chalk Lines go down for booth placement according to the map.

5:45am

Restaurants are able to deliver equipment and materials to booth spots. Traffic will be open only to restaurants and vendors who have received their access card at the planning meeting. Carry this to be allowed into the gates. Traffic moves one way (north bound only) – enter at College or on East side of Main and exit at 10th or on the East side of Main.

6:30am

Vendor Setup

6:30am – 10:45am

Representative Check-in – All Participating restaurants must have a representative check in at the Taste of Durango Equipment Tent at the corner of 7th & Main by 8:00am

Before 8am

All motor vehicle traffic is final. No other cars will be allowed into gates. All vehicles within gates must vacate by 9:45. The City will write citations at 10:00 am.

9:30am

RFID Wristband Pickup/Purchase and Age Verification begins

10:45am

Gates open to the public, Map of the Event will be available via iTunes App Store for Free. Search 92.9 The Point for the free install.

11:00am
